What happens at our FIGHT classes, what should you bring!
(This applies to our MONDAY and THURSDAY evening sessions ONLY)!
DECEMBER 2020
Due to current government guidelines in relation to our existing COVID-19 Access Policy regarding the safe delivery of our sessions to our members we are only permitted to train 10 members at any one time in the space we currently occupy.
If you are wanting to train with us on any one of our sessions you need to place an initial interest via text message and ensure you get your details logged with Sarah Hallworth who will place you on the "members list".
Unlike other clubs we ARE still continuing to take on new members and this is our integral commitment to our community.
Please do not let this deter you from placing an initial interest with us.
Having placed your interest in one of our sessions-24 hours prior to training taking place you will receive a text message asking if you would like to train on the next available session.
If you are wanting to secure this place, you must respond to the message immediately with a "YES".
When you receive a response confirming your place you will then pay for your allocated session via bank transfer and this secures your space.
If you no longer wish to attend the session you must let Sarah Hallworth know 24 hours prior to the class taking place so that your space can be allocated to someone else.
Notice to cancel less than 24 hours- your fee is non refundable.
All members sign a disclaimer to train with us on arrival and this forms part of our TRACK AND TRACE Policy guidelines.
All of our sessions begin with a warm up and this is a fundamental part of ANY class. Our warm ups are explosive and designed to get you hot and sweaty!
Once everyone is warm we begin a session focused on "drills". Students will be "paired up" and everyone will learn traditional Muay Thai, K1 and kickboxing techniques in a fun and exciting way.
Whilst adhering to our current COVID-19 Access Policy guidelines students WILL NOT SPAR and GRAPPLING TECHNIQUES ARE NOT PERMITTED.
Students will keep vest tops/t-shirts on at all times and will bring their own fresh towel to every session to wipe away any sweat they may generate throughout the session.
Every member present in the session is closely monitored by our lead coach, Mr. Philip Eaton.
Monday sessions were a popular session for our junior attendees who worked alongside our adult attendees. Due to restrictions on the number of people we can have training in the space at any one time we have generated a JUNIOR MUAY THAI MONDAY timetable. These sessions take place at our "sister" venue (FORE COURTS COMMUNITY CENTRE) a stones throw away from ZEUS GYM.
The JUNIOR MUAY THAI SESSIONS are delivered by Sarah Hallworth and our ambassador coach Seb Estrada.
Gum shields are normally required pre COVID-19, but whilst adhering to government guidelines are currently not a requirement.
All classes are mixed age, gender and mixed ability.
If it is your first time, gloves, glove liners and shin pads will be provided.
This kit will be provided for a number of sessions until you decide its a sport for you. We can then advise you on where best to purchase your kit from.
We suggest you wear loose comfortable clothing (like shorts and vest top or tee shirt) and we train bare-footed so no need for 'trainers.'
We have a great variety of "Camp" kit ( vest tops, t- shirts and hoodies) that can be purchased directly from us.
You can place your enquiry here on the website.
A sock is required if you are suffering from any foot aliments.
Bring a water bottle and a clean fresh towel.
Arrive in kit ready to start your session as we are currently reducing the use of our changing room facilities and these are only provided as an absolute must for members arriving to us straight from a work place environment.
